Which Caddis model, if any
What Caddis sells on Amazon US
Caddis Sports describes itself as an outdoor gear company with the tagline "Never Stop the Adventure." Its site lists fishing gear (float tubes, waders, fins and accessories), camping gear and coolers, and says it is one of four brands alongside Blue Coolers, Mountain Summit Gear and Alpine Mountain Gear. The pages I read do not give a founding date, so I'm leaving one out.
At our last check (October 2026) we track 18 Caddis listings on Amazon US. Ten are waders: seven breathable (including a waist-high pair and a youth pair), two neoprene and one PVC hip wader. Eight are wading shoes. The table above shows them all. Each value carries a mark. "Maker" means the manufacturer's own page states it, "claimed" is a manufacturer claim with no named test, "listing" is what the Amazon listing says, and a dash means we could not confirm it and will not guess. For Caddis you'll see a great many "listing" marks and dashes. That is not a verdict on the waders, only a sign that the maker pages give few numbers.
The waders
Men's Breathable, Deluxe and Northern Guide. These are the stockingfoot breathable chest waders. A stockingfoot wader ends in a neoprene sock, and you wear a separate wading boot over it. The maker page for the Men's Breathable lists a polyester fabric with CaddisDry breathable technology, sizes S to XXL and a Standard fit option, with Stout, Tall and Short options that are not offered in size S. It does not give a layer count, a waterproof rating, a breathability figure or seam details, so those columns show dashes. The Deluxe listings add gravel guards (a cuff that seals your boot top against sand and gravel) and reinforced knees, per the Amazon listings. The Northern Guide lists gravel guards and reinforced knees too, with no further data. "Deluxe" appears in four model names and in no spec column.
Women's. The Women's Deluxe and the Women's Breathable are stockingfoot chest waders. The Women's Neoprene Stockingfoot is a neoprene wader in Small to Large. A women's cut is shaped differently through the hip and torso, so use the women's chart and not a men's size.
Neoprene. The Men's Neoprene Stocking Foot lists 3.5 mm neoprene with gravel guards. Neoprene is a closed-cell foam rubber, and the millimeters are the warmth rating. It suits cold, still water and punishes long walks. See our neoprene waders page.
Waist-high. The Deluxe Breathable Waist-High is a stockingfoot wader that ends at the waist, which suits warm, shallow water and is cooler than chest-high. See waist waders.
Hip wader. The PVC Hip Wader is a nylon and PVC bootfoot that ends at the thigh. It is a simple style for shallow water and not for wading deeper. Hip waders explains the type.
Youth. The Youth Breathable Stocking Foot Wader lists Small to Extra Large and gravel guards, per the listing. See kids waders.
The wading shoes
Eight shoes complete the lineup: the Wading Shoe in felt, the Wading Shoe with the EcoSmart Grip sole, the Ultralite in EcoSmart, the Northern Guide Lightweight in felt and EcoSmart, the Northern Guide with the EcoSmart II sole, a Women's Ultralite, and the Flats Neoprene Wading Shoe. They all list speed laces except the Flats, per the listings.
The Northern Guide with the EcoSmart II sole is the one with a maker page. It lists men's sizes 7 to 13, a nylon and leather upper and stud compatibility, which means the sole accepts add-on traction studs. The rest are listing values. The Flats is a neoprene wet-wading shoe, meant to be worn with no wader at all in warm water. Our wet wading shoes page covers the type.
The big decision is the sole. Felt grips slick rock very well. It also holds on to mud, algae and small organisms, and for that reason some fisheries restrict felt, so check the rules where you fish. Rubber soles, including EcoSmart-type soles, are the alternative. Read our felt vs rubber guide and see the felt sole boots page.
Who should buy a Caddis wader, and who should skip
Buy one if you want a stockingfoot breathable wader for general fishing and you are comfortable working from listing information. The range includes sizes few brands list, such as youth and stout versions. Skip them if you want stated layer counts and waterproof ratings, a confirmed wader warranty, or a wader you can compare number for number against another brand. If numbers matter to you, the best fly fishing waders page uses a fixed rule and shows the confirmed values.
Warranty
I could not confirm a wader warranty for Caddis. The warranty page I read covers float tubes and pontoon boats, which carry a two-year limited warranty against defects in material or workmanship from the date of purchase, with a remedy of repair, replacement or refund of the purchase price. It does not state wader terms and refers you to customer service at 866-474-2583. For waders, assume nothing until you have it in writing, and keep the receipt. If the wader springs a leak, our leak-finding guide and wader repair kits are the next stop.
Sizing
Caddis adult waders are listed in S to XXL, with Standard, Stout, Tall and Short options on some models, and the product pages say some options are not offered in size S. The youth wader is sized Small to Extra Large. I did not find a size chart link in our data, so open the chart on the product page, measure your chest, waist and inseam over the layers you will wear, and compare. Waders that are too small stress the seams at the knees and crotch, and waders that are too large bunch and trap water. A stockingfoot wader is sized by body, and you choose the boot separately, so buy the boot to fit over the wader's neoprene bootie. Our wader size chart guide covers how to measure, and the youth wader size chart is the place for children.
I did not read enough Amazon reviews to summarize fit, so I won't guess at it.
How to shop a table that is mostly listing values
When most marks read "listing", the table is less a comparison and more a checklist of questions for the seller. Before you buy any Caddis wader, find out four things. What is the fabric and how many layers does it have? Are there gravel guards, and what are they attached to? Is there a warranty for the wader in writing? And which fit options (Stout, Tall, Short) are offered in your size? Those four answers tell you more than the model name.
Then compare on what you can verify. Foot type, height and gender cut are easy to confirm from the photos and the size menu. Reinforced knees and gravel guards are visible in the listing images. A waterproof rating or a layer count that a listing does not state is not a fault in the product, but it does mean you cannot compare it with a wader that states them. In that case I'd weigh the answer to the warranty question heavily, because a written warranty is the one assurance a seller can put on paper.
Choosing a boot for a stockingfoot wader
A stockingfoot wader needs a wading boot that fits over the neoprene bootie with room for a sock. Buy the boot after you have the wader, and try both on together. The Caddis wading shoes in the table are lightweight, lace-up shoes, which suits easy walking on gravel and sand. If you wade over slick, round rock, a soled boot with studs gives more bite, and the Northern Guide with the EcoSmart II sole is listed as stud compatible. For general advice, the wading boots section lists boots from other brands with weights and soles.
Keep the gravel guard in mind. A gravel guard is a stretchy cuff that closes over the top of the boot, and it keeps sand and small stones out of the boot, where they wear the bootie. It does not make the boot waterproof.
Care
Rinse the wader and boots after each trip, hang the wader inside out to dry in shade, and keep it away from heat and sunlight. Do not fold a damp wader into a bag for weeks. Check the seams and the neoprene booties before the season, and repair pinholes early with a patch kit. For a longer routine, see our guides on how to store waders and how to clean waders.
Safety
Wear a wading belt over any chest wader. A belt limits how much water flows into the wader if you fall, and a flooded wader is hard to climb out of in a current. Wade slowly, plant each foot before you commit your weight, and stay out of fast, deep water you cannot see through. Cold water can take away your strength before you expect it.
Other options
If you want a longer-listed warranty or more spec data, compare the table against our stockingfoot waders and breathable waders pages. For a map of the types, start with types of waders.

Questions about Caddis
Who makes Caddis waders?
Caddis Sports. Its website describes outdoor gear, with fishing products such as float tubes, waders and fins, plus camping gear and coolers. The site says Caddis Sports is one of four brands, along with Blue Coolers, Mountain Summit Gear and Alpine Mountain Gear. The pages I read do not give a founding date or a headquarters address.
Are Caddis waders breathable?
Most are. Seven of the ten waders we track are described as breathable, including the Men's Breathable, the Men's and Women's Deluxe, the Northern Guide, the Youth wader and a waist-high Deluxe. The maker page for the Men's Breathable lists a polyester fabric with CaddisDry breathable technology, and does not give a layer count, a waterproof rating or a breathability figure. Two more are neoprene and one is a PVC hip wader.
What is the difference between Caddis Deluxe and standard breathable waders?
I couldn't find a maker page that explains it, and I won't invent a rule. The listings suggest the Deluxe models add gravel guards and reinforced knees, since those two features appear on the Deluxe listings and not on the plain Men's Breathable. The listing is a seller's summary, not a spec sheet, so check the product page for the exact features.
Do Caddis waders come in youth sizes?
Yes. The Youth Breathable Stocking Foot Wader is listed in Small to Extra Large with gravel guards, per the Amazon listing. Waders on a child are as much a safety question as a fit one. Keep an adult close, stay in shallow water, and choose a size that does not bunch at the crotch or hang loose at the chest. Our kids waders page goes through what to look for.
What is the Caddis waders warranty?
I could not confirm a wader warranty from Caddis. The warranty page we read covers float tubes and pontoon boats, which carry a two-year limited warranty against defects in material or workmanship from the date of purchase, and it does not state the terms for waders. It points to Caddis customer service at 866-474-2583 for wader details. Ask before you buy, and keep your proof of purchase.
Do Caddis waders have a size chart?
The Caddis product pages list sizes S to XXL for adults, with Stout, Tall and Short versions on some models, and the pages say some fit options are not offered in size S. I did not find a size chart link in our data, so check the chart on the product page at caddissports.com and measure your chest, waist and inseam over the layers you will wear. Our wader size chart guide explains how.
Are Caddis wading shoes felt or rubber?
Both. Of the eight wading shoes in our data, two list felt soles (the Wading Shoe and the Northern Guide Lightweight Wading Shoe), five list EcoSmart grip soles, and the Flats is a neoprene wet-wading shoe. Whether felt is allowed depends on where you fish; some fisheries restrict it, so check your local rules, and read our felt vs rubber guide.
