Short answer
Open the frogg toggs table for your foot type and audience, and size from that, not from a chart for another maker. The maker's size chart page has tabs for men's, women's and youth, and each tab splits waders into bootfoot and stockingfoot. The frogg toggs buying guide says sizing rests on chest, waist, hip and inseam plus shoe size.
I am not reproducing the numbers. They belong to the maker, and a stale copy is worse than none. Brand background and the frogg toggs pairs we track are on the frogg toggs brand page. For how to take measurements in general, see our wader size chart guide.
The chart measures the wader, not you
This is the detail most people miss. The wader tables carry a note that the measurements are the actual dimensions of the garment, not body measurements. So a "chest" number on the chart describes the wader's chest. It has to be larger than yours, because you are wearing a base layer and a fleece inside it. (The wader, it turns out, does not have an opinion about you, only about its own circumference.)
In practice, measure your chest, waist, hips and inseam with a soft tape over the layers you will wear, then look for a size whose listed dimensions comfortably exceed them. If a row is only a little bigger than your tape reading, you may not have room for a deep step up. The sizing rule from the other makers we have covered applies here as well: fit is checked in the layers, with a deep knee bend and a seat on a chair.
How the chart is split
The frogg toggs page organizes wader tables like this:
- Men's: bootfoot chest waders in Regular, Slim and Husky; a bootfoot wading pant (waist) table; and stockingfoot tables for waist waders and for regular and Husky chest waders.
- Women's: one Regular bootfoot chest wader table and one Regular stockingfoot chest wader table.
- Youth: one Regular bootfoot chest wader table and one Regular stockingfoot chest wader table.
Every table is keyed on a footwear size, and stockingfoot tables add a foot size column, often as a range. Chest waders list chest, waist and inseam. Waist-only and pant styles leave out the chest.
Stout, which appears on other makers' charts, does not appear on this page. If you are used to looking for a Stout row, note that frogg toggs uses Husky.

Regular, Slim and Husky
The page uses these as table names and does not define them in text. What I can tell you is where they appear. Slim and Husky are on men's bootfoot chest waders, and Husky also on men's insulated bootfoot and stockingfoot chest waders. In our data, the Husky sizes show up as boot sizes with a "Husky" suffix (9 Husky through 14 Husky) on the Amphib neoprene bootfoot waders and on the Hellbender PRO bootfoot. The Hellbender PRO and Amphib stockingfoot pairs list Stout letter sizes (Medium Stout to 2X-Large Stout) in the Amazon listing, a label the maker's chart page does not use. Check the table that matches your pair.
The honest takeaway is that the label tells you a build is intended, and the numbers decide. Read the Husky or Slim table for your model and compare the girth columns to your measurements.
Bootfoot sizing
On a bootfoot wader the boot is part of the wader, so you pick one size that covers body and foot. For frogg toggs, the table rows are keyed on the footwear size. Our data for the bootfoot waders we track shows men's boot sizes from 7 to 14 on most models, 3 to 13 on the Rana II PVC hip wader and 7 to 13 on the Rana PVC Lug Sole chest wader. The women's neoprene bootfoot wader runs 4 to 10.
If you plan to wear thick socks, size your foot with them on. The maker's pages I read give no between-sizes rule, so I would follow the same logic as the bootfoot waders section of our general guide: a tight boot squeezes socks and chills feet, and extra room is easier to live with. That is a general rule, not frogg toggs advice.

Stockingfoot sizing
Stockingfoot waders end in a neoprene sock, and you buy wading boots separately. In our data, the stockingfoot waders list letter sizes, usually Small to 2XL, with the Rana Lightweight Emergency Wader sold as Medium/Large and X-Large/2X-Large. The page's stockingfoot tables list a foot size range alongside the letter, and that range is for the sock inside the wader, not the boot you will wear over it. Size the boot to leave room for the sock. See stockingfoot waders for how the two parts fit together.

What our data shows
At our last check (October 2026) we track 17 frogg toggs waders on Amazon US, covering neoprene, PVC, nylon and breathable pairs, chest, hip and guide-pant styles. Every one of them links the same size chart page. The size ranges stated on the Amazon listings fall into three groups:
- Bootfoot, men's: boot sizes 7 to 14 on most pairs, with Husky sizes on some.
- Bootfoot, women's: the one pair we track runs 4 to 10.
- Stockingfoot: Small to 2XL, with Stout letter sizes on two pairs.
These are listing values, taken from Amazon and not confirmed by the maker, so treat the ranges as a guide and the maker's chart as the authority.
Buyer feedback on fit
I did not read buyer reviews for the frogg toggs pairs when I wrote this page, so I won't summarize them. Check the maker's chart, compare your measurements to the garment dimensions, and read recent reviews of the exact pair for comments on length and boot room.
Before you buy
Do a fit check once the waders arrive: put them on over your actual layers, squat, step up onto a chair and raise your arms. Waders that pull at the crotch or shoulders are too small or too short, and waders that bunch at the ankle are too long. Return policies vary by seller, so check before you order. Our waders page lets you filter by foot type, and the frogg toggs brand page lists the pairs in the order we track them. If you are still deciding between kinds of waders, our types of waders guide covers the options.
Questions people ask
How do I find my frogg toggs wader size?
The frogg toggs buying guide says wader sizing is based on chest, waist, hip and inseam measurements plus shoe size, and points you to the maker's size chart. Measure yourself, find the table for your foot type and audience on the size chart page, and compare. The charts for chest waders list chest, waist and inseam alongside a footwear size.
Are the frogg toggs wader measurements body measurements?
No. The wader tables on the size chart page carry a note that the numbers are the actual dimensions of the garment, not body measurements. That means you compare your body to a wader that needs room for layers, so leave margin and do not match your tape reading to the number exactly.
What does Husky mean in frogg toggs waders?
On the size chart page, Husky is a fit label used on the men's bootfoot and stockingfoot chest wader tables, alongside Regular and Slim for bootfoot. The page does not define it in words. In our data, Husky appears as extra bootfoot sizes (9 Husky to 14 Husky) on neoprene and Hellbender PRO pairs. Read the Husky table for your model.
What if I'm between sizes in frogg toggs waders?
The frogg toggs pages I read give no between-sizes rule. For general guidance, the bootfoot advice in our wader size chart guide, drawn from SITKA, is to size up, because a tight boot compresses socks. Check the maker's chart for your model and contact the maker if your numbers sit between two rows.
Does frogg toggs make women's and youth waders?
The size chart page has women's and youth tabs, each with a bootfoot and a stockingfoot chest wader table. In our data, the women's pairs listed on Amazon US are a neoprene bootfoot wader (women's sizes 4 to 10) and a stockingfoot chest wader in Small to 2XL. We did not find youth waders from frogg toggs in our data at our last check.
